Re: Graduation Parade

To finish out our Senior “Virtual Premiere” Week we have been working closely with the Carmi Police Department in order to host a parade for our Class of 2020 Seniors while still following social distancing guidelines.

Each graduating Senior may ride in a vehicle with their family/guardians.  Only 1 vehicle per graduate will be allowed to park on the main back parking lot between 4:30 & 5:00 pm on Friday, May 22nd.  Vehicles will be checked in at the parking lot entrance on 7th Street & graduates & families will also be able to pick up Graduation Programs for the Virtual Graduation Ceremony that will be shown at 7:00 pm that evening on the CWCHS Facebook page & Youtube Channel.  Everyone should stay in their cars.

The parade will depart from the CWCHS main back parking lot at approximately 5:00 pm.  The parade route is below.   Other family members & the public are encouraged to pick a spot somewhere along the route to congratulate our Class of 2020 Seniors as they pass along the parade route.

The areas along 7th & 9th Street surrounding the high school should be left open to help with safety & traffic flow.
