Prom 2024 will be held Friday, April 26th , at the Ribeyre Gymnasium in New Harmony. Door will open at 5:00. All students should arrive by 5:45 pm. Students arriving later will not be admitted unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Family and friends will be admitted at 5:45 pm. Promenade will begin at 6 pm followed by coronation. Dinner will be served at approximately 7:30 pm. The dance ends at 11:00 pm and tickets for After-Prom will be issued at that time. Pictures will be available to order at the dance. After-Prom will be held in the CWCHS gymnasium from 12:00 am to 2:30 am. The ticket issued at the end of Prom is required for admission. Students must arrive by 12:15 am or be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Students leaving After-Prom early will be required to sign-out and will not be readmitted. There will be music, food, activities, and prizes at After-Prom. Students must be present to win prizes.
All CWCHS 11th grade students will be participating in the Illinois Science Assessment on Wednesday, April 24th. This is a state mandated assessment that will be digital and will consist of 3 separate sessions. Students will need to charge their Chromebooks the night before.
During Enrichment period on Thursday, April 25, 2024, CWCHS 9th and 12th graders will complete an online, anonymous survey for Project Connect, which is a grant funded through the Egyptian Health Department. The survey will not collect IP addresses or any student identification. Students can refuse to answer any of the questions in the survey. The survey gathers valuable information to identify issues and service needs as well as progress in the Egyptian Health area. Please contact our office if you have any questions.

PSAT/SAT State Testing on Wednesday, April 17th
Attention: CWCHS students grades 9, 10, and 11 will be testing on Wednesday, April 17th. It is very important that the students who are testing be in attendance on this day (Seniors will not be in attendance). The testing schedule is as follows:
9th grade: 8:15 a.m.- 11:15 a.m.
10th grade: 8:15 a.m.- 11:15 a.m.
11th grade: 8:15 a.m - 12:05 p.m.
Please note:
Freshmen and Sophomores lunch period will be from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., and these students are required to attend in the afternoon. They will be dismissed at the normal time.
Juniors will be dismissed at 12:05 p.m. and will not be required to attend in the afternoon.
Seniors will not be in attendance, but they are required to job shadow, volunteer for community service, or take a college visit. Seniors have been given information about these activities and are aware that they must provide documentation to verify that they participated in their chosen activity.

Students will be required to attend all of their classes in the afternoon on an adjusted schedule. Note: CWCHS Students that are enrolled in the SIC CNA class will not be attending the event.
