As of June, Illinois has been approved to issue Summer P-EBT benefits for 2023. Students who attend a Community Eligibility Program (CEP) school are eligible to receive P-EBT benefits for Summer 2023. Households with eligible school-age children will receive a one-time payment of $120 per eligible child.
Since Carmi-White County CUSD#5 is a CEP, all students who were enrolled in May 2023 and meet student attendance eligibility requirements are eligible to receive P-EBT benefits. You do not need to apply for Summer P-EBT benefits. Summer P-EBT payments will be loaded onto an Illinois P-EBT card and mailed to the household or onto an Illinois EBT card for SNAP households. Several households have reported receiving the P-EBT cards in the mail this week.
