What Does It Mean to Be
Trauma-Engaged
How can we help our students grow to recognize and use their strengths, cope healthily with normal stresses, and work productively and fruitfully? This presentation focuses on the effects of trauma, enhancing school culture, and increasing resiliency factors in our students.
Presenter: Jason Robershaw
Jason Robershaw, M.A. LPC is a certified Teen Mental Health First Aid Instructor and Triple P Parenting Instructor. He currently serves as the Clinical Director of the Child & Adolescent Division at Egyptian Health Department. With 11 years of mental health experience, he has provided crisis intervention services, individual and group counseling, and resource support for children and families in the area. He has facilitated dozens of trainings related to mental health topics using a trauma-engaged approach. Having spent most of his life in Southern Illinois, he values the importance of relationship-building and the extreme influence adults can have with children.
