Due to the updated directive of Governor Pritzker on Friday, March 20th with the Shelter in Place Directive for the State of Illinois, all schools in Illinois will continue to be closed through April 7th. Carmi-White County CUSD #5 will be on Spring Break that week, so as of now CUSD #5 students would return back to school on Monday, April 13th.
Carmi-White County Unit #5 will continue to provide the following learning opportunities:
Pre-K through 3rd grade, learning packets will be sent home.
4th through 12th grade students will continue with Chromebooks. Online learning opportunities will be provided by individual teachers via Google Classrooms. Students whose families do not have internet access should notify their respective school & packets will be provided in the office for pickup.
Brownsville School students will also continue to have materials sent home.
Please contact the school offices for any assistance needed. This situation is ever-changing, and updated information will be pushed out through the district website and C-WC app. Please download the app for the most up-to-date information. As previously stated, all extracurricular and co-curricular activities will be cancelled from Tuesday, March 17th through April 7th.
